Yet Another Walmart Scandal Revealed…

This is an astonishing article ( in the Huffington Post about the continuous scandals revolving around Walmart. This particular scandal deals millions of dollars in bribes to a historic city in Mexico, that gave Walmart a property to build on.

Newtown Connecticut shooting

I think the horrific shooting that occured in an elementary school in Newtown,Conneticut has not only spurred the prayers of millions, but serious thoughts aboutbe the current gun control laws in America as well. I was watching the Rachel Maddow show last night, and she began talking about the famous N.R.A. We have all heard about the curruption of this group of these people and their republican grasp on gun laws, but what I found interesting was Rachel Maddow said the current gun laws go even against the majority of the N.R.A!! The majority of the N.R.A voted that before buying a gun a criminal background check should be issued, and that any convicted terrorist should not allowed to buy a gun in the United States. Unfortunately and bizarrely, both of those majority votes have gone unheard and do not hold true in America today.

What do you guys think? Is it time to change gun control laws? Or is this just another rare circumstance?

Walmart Refuses it Employees Obamacare

This is an article ( from the Huffington Post.

In nine states, primarily in the South, the CEO’s of the world’s largest retailer are refusing their employees Obamacare. Walmart’s CEO’s are refusing to give their employees who work less than 30 hours a week proper health care. Not only do thousands on thousands of people work for Walmart, but they all aready work for only minimum wage! NOW the company wants to take health care away from them too?! I think this is so unfair. It is because of people like the CEO’s of Walmart that our country is in an economic crisis! All the CEO’s are doing by depriving their employees of health care is saving a little pocket cash for themselves and widening the economic gap between the rich and poor.

Apple Brings Jobs Back Home!

This is article in the Huffington Post about Tim Cook, Apple CEO, and his plan to create a line of Mac computers created in American.

Although in the grand scheme of things this one line of Apple computers may be minimal, I think that Apple is setting a great example for other American companies to follow suit.  If each big name American country were to return at least a portion of their company back to U.S, I could see that having a major effect on the unemplyment rates in American.  Tim Cook said, “It’s not so much about price, it’s about the skills, et cetera. Over time, there are skills that are associated with manufacturing that have left the U.S. Not necessarily people, but the education system stopped producing them.” Maybe this means people should start looking into the education of hands-on manufacturing?
